ASML Reticle Arm

For my M.Eng project, sponsored by ASML, I have been working since January 2026 on integrating an ASML reticle handling robot arm at Cornell so that students can use it safely.

Mounting & Support Structures

• Redesigned the mounting approach and built support structures for the arm

Safety Light Curtain

• Integrating an optical safety light curtain with the ASML sponsor to stop the arm when personnel enter its range of motion

Controls & Documentation

• Developing the arm’s motion-control software and operator documentation for student use
